Caliban was founded by Angelo and Teresa, who started a small tailoring workshop in the Italian country side in 1979. Here, in Pontevico, they handmade the first high quality man’s shirt and this is where the headquarters and production are still located today. The first women’s collection was launched in 2000: heavily inspired by men’s shirts, however extremely feminine thanks to the materials and shapes.
The versatile line for women focuses on comfortable, yet elegant designs: from the classic shirt in cotton to linen shirt dresses and silk blouses. Every creation shows unique details, such as ruffles around the neckline, layered silhouettes and a playful approach to asymmetrical lengths.
